My two favourite things are style and vintage shopping. Put them together and you can create magic.
Had some fun creating the concept and styling this latest shoot for my portfolio. Vintage finds don’t have to be cheap looking unless you make it that way. My idea for this shoot was for vintage clothing to seem fit for a spread in a high fashion magazine. I put together my two favourite outfits with garments I have collected over time from various op shops, added some flare with accessories, came up with an interestingly quirky concept and created a shoot that’s unique and fun.
I have so much fun putting together different types of shoots for my blog and styling portfolio. Super bright colours and interesting shapes and silhouettes was a must for this.
My journey with thrift shopping has been a long love hate relationship. One day I’ll find multiple things that I need and other times nothing. But that never stops me from going back. It’s the adrenaline rush when you find something amazing that never gets old and keeps me wanting to go again and again.
For me, putting this feeling together with creating a successfully fun and fascinating photo shoot is one of the most enjoyable things I could do.
