Monochromatic outfits are a huge thing in the fashion world. There is no secret trick on how to wear them as long as you have tops, bottoms, dresses, coats and accessories in one colour.
Rather than mixing patterns and colour blocking, wearing a single shade is a simpler, cleaner way of putting an outfit together. Coordinating a single-colour ensemble is an easy way to make a huge statement. Depending on the pieces you put together it can be worn easily from day to night.
Grey is the perfect colour to choose when putting together a monochromatic look. It is sophisticated and looks totally polished. One of my favourite ways to wear an all grey outfit is when the shades and textures are slightly different. It adds variety and edge to the one colour look.
Instead of a classic all black look for the cooler seasons, grey is a great alternative. While still being a statement outfit, it is much softer than all black. Wearing all grey is also just as flattering as black, in fact any one-colour outfit is.
Wearing one colour is an easy way to incorporate new purchases with older classic pieces you already have in your wardrobe. A statement coat, a simple dress and statement boots, the same colour, is an easy way to stay stylish this winter.
